Demystifying RBAs
The rebuildable dripping atomizer (RDA) has a deck that you build on that holds a wire, coil, and wick. The vaper drips e-liquid directly onto the wick and vapes. Although, the they must be consistently re-dripping liquid onto the wick to continue vaping, the wick will usually hold enough juice to vape up to twenty hits before re-dripping. This may be more inconvenient for those who are traveling with their devices, however, the flavor and vapor production usually make the perfect hit almost every time. The RDA by far exceeds the abilities of any other method when it comes to flavor and vapor production. Another benefit to the RDA is the ability to change the flavor of juice being used quickly. When the vaper wants to change flavors, they simply drip the new e-liquid onto the wick.
The rebuildable tank atomizer (RTA) also has a deck the user builds their coil and wick on but also has a tank to hold a reserve of liquid. The e-juice feeds from the tank onto the wick as the user vapes, requiring the vaper to only add liquid when the tank is empty. The tank capacity on RTAs varies from model to model. Vapor production on an RTA can be slightly less than the RDA and the quality of flavor is not as strong, but the convenience of the juice holding tank will win over vapers who do not want to constantly drip and don't want to carry bottles of juice, or are driving in their car a lot - dripping while driving can be quite dangerous.
The rebuildable drip tank atomizer (RDTA) is the newer sibling in the RBA family. It combines the buildable deck for the coil and wick with a tank to hold a juice reserve, but rather than the juice automatically feeding to the wick as the vaporizer is used, the user presses down on the drip tip, or mouth piece, to drip the juice on to the wick. Sometimes this is also referred to as auto dripping. The RDTA seems to be the best of both worlds as it combines the great flavor and vapor production output of an RDA with the convenience of the RTA since it has a tank to hold the e-juice.
Regardless of which device the vaper chooses, the innovation of the rebuildable atomizer has changed the world of vaping into a more customizable experience.
